Kingscott School Wins AASA/AIA/CEFPI "Shirley Cooper Award"

ASC member firm Kingscott Associates received AASA/AIA/CEFPI's highest award for a school design that "best meets the educational needs of its students" and "exemplifies outstanding design and educational purpose".

The Knapp Forest Elementary School is part of the Forest Hills Public Schools in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The jury of educators and architects noted that the design of the school showed "care and concern for how learning occurs," as well as a "variety of teaching and learning settings," and "strong sense of student scale…interesting use of space and diverse use of materials."

The Council congratulates Kingscott on the success of this facility in reflecting ASC's mission of "improving student learning through better academic facilities"!
