This Middle School design was developed to accomodate the house concept with "team" areas for each grade level including language arts, social studies, math, science, skills labs, teacher planning and storage.

The fourth re-use of a prototype design, this school has been upgraded to state-of-the-art technology and air quality control by BRPH. Earlier uses accommodated 1,268 students.

The campus is composed of nine buildings. The buildings are two-story fluted concrete block with stucco. Frame work and railing accent the buildings.

The DOE post occupancy evaluation said, of an earlier school, "The school is aesthetically powerful, ...a positive community statement...it does not appear institutional, rather, it feels more like a village with a plaza in the center from which all activity radiates; a relaxed learning environment."
